Val will be talking about her new novel ‘Queen Macbeth’, a fresh take on the life of that most intriguing and complex of Shakespearian characters, with former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
Set against a dramatic highland backdrop, Val McDermid invites us to encounter a new and more realised Lady Macbeth, bringing a schemer in the shadows out into the light, while exposing the patriarchal prejudices of history.
